Praxis' statement on the Grenfell Inquiry report

Today, we remember the 72 people who lost their lives in Grenfell Tower, whose deaths were entirely avoidable. Our thoughts are also with those left behind, the bereaved and the survivors.

The Inquiry report is damning and shows the cost of putting profit before the lives of ordinary people and their safety.

We stand in solidarity with this community, who have been failed again and again, at every level. Today might be a step closer to truth and accountability but they are still waiting for justice.

We echo the Grenfell community’s call for all those responsible to be held to account and for systemic and cultural change. We support their calls to the Prime Minister to implement all the recommendations of the Inquiry report without delay.
