The switch from physical to digital documents in the UK immigration system

The Home Office is currently in the process of transitioning away from a physical system of proving immigration status to a digital system.  It intends that from 1st January 2025, individuals will no longer require a physical immigration document but will be able to prove their immigration status through accessing an online “eVisa” system.
