WEBINAR: The impacts of the ten-year route to settlement
7th March 2023 10:00 - 11:30
Register here.
Join Praxis, the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) and the Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit (GMIAU) as we share the findings from recent research into the impacts of the ten-year route to settlement on people’s lives.
Drawing on a survey of over 300 people on the ten-year route, and polling on attitudes to the route, we argue that there is a compelling case for review and reform of the ten-year route – so that families and individuals who are already integral parts of our communities can feel fully settled and secure.
We will hear from people with lived experience of being on the ten-year route to settlement, and Stephen Timms MP will respond to the findings.
We will be joined by the following speakers:
The Rt Hon Sir Stephen Timms MP (Labour MP for East Ham)
Lucy Mort (Senior Research Fellow, IPPR)
Josephine Whitaker-Yilmaz (Policy and Public Affairs Manager, Praxis)
Fatou Jinadu (Community Organiser, GMIAU)

The event is taking place on Tuesday 7 March from 10.00-11.30am and will be held on Zoom. Register for your place here.
