WINGS: A collection of Poetry

Praxis’ group for women and their children WINGS just published their first poetry collection.

This project started as a creative writing workshop where they explored sensory representation of feelings and concepts such as family, peace, love and success. From there, the authors gained inspiration through a new language found within themselves.

Through time and reflection, the outcome of the workshop transformed into this deeply personal poetry collection bridging together aspirations and emotions with creative imagery.

Each author then worked with illustator Javie Huxley to develop visual representation for their poems.

The authors of this collection hope that as many people as possible will be touched and inspired by their work, and by the illustrations accompanying their poems.

You can find the full collection of poetry and illustrations here.

This book has been supported by The Real Change Collective, illustrations by Javie Huxley.
