The needs of people who are homeless or rough sleeping are individual to each person, but are often multiple and complex. It is with an understanding of these needs that Praxis has developed a model of immigration advice that puts the person at the heart of the process and gives them the agency to make informed decisions.

Together, with our supporters, for almost 40 years we have walked in solidarity with people who made the UK their home.

Francisca and Chloe are immigration advisers at Praxis. For years they have been supporting people to access the guidance, advice and support they need to leave destitution and crisis. Today they talk to us about the devastating impact of immigration policies and Home Office fees pushing people into poverty.

I imagine a world where migrants and refugees are not dehumanised or subjected to a “hostile environment”, but instead are treated with humanity, compassion and fairness.
