Imagine
Imagine a country like Balochistan,
Land Of Hope and Beauty.
Imagine one day I’ll go to my land.
Imagine one day I’ll meet my friends.
Imagine one day I’ll see my family.
Imagine one day I’ll see my garden.
Just Imagine ..!

Imagine my bedroom with my lovely bed all dressed up nicely with my pillow and my teddies
My Teddy is big and it always squashes the pillows up
My pillows always feel unhappy each time I leave them with the teddies
The Teddies think the bed belongs to them
They seem to forget that I am the owner of the bed, and that I can throw them out if I want to
But I love them so much that I turn to forgive them
I need to let them know that this is my room and my bed

Imagine a kitchen
In your hands my plates are broken
My soul has been left to rust like my cooker
You keep us suffering like empty pots on the fire

Imagine un arbre en plein printemps sans son feuillage
Imagine un monde sans sa population
Imagine la terre sans habitants
Imagine a tree in full Spring without its foliage
Imagine the world without people

Imagine a vase filled with different flowers
It is full of vibrant colours
Imagine a rose without thorns
And imagine that all flowers can be like a sunflower

Brighter Futures are a group of young people who work together to speak up for young migrants and their rights, and use their creativity as a tool to challenge negative perceptions of migration in the UK.
In line with the theme of Refugee Week 2020, they use imagination and poetry to reflect on their wishes and on their day-to-day reality.
